Examensarbete hos Kommunikationssystem

Förslag på examensarbeten

Dessa projekt är kopplade till något av våra pågående forskningsprojekt och du kommer att arbete i nära samarbete med seniora forskare och doktorander. För att ansöka till ett internt projekt, var vänlig skicka ett e-brev till projektets kontaktperson och bifoga en kort beskrivning av dig själv och ett betygsutdrag. Generellt måste studenter som ansöker om ett internt examensarbete ha en stark matematisk bakgrund och goda programmeringskunskaper. Kunskap om hårdvara är önskvärd för vissa av projekten.

Studier av trådlösa system

1. Training Length Optimization for Massive MIMO Systems with Phase Noise Impairments
  In this project, the effect of training length on the achievable sum rate performance will be studied for a single-cell multi-user Massive MIMO system (uplink and downlink) with phase noise impairments both at the transmitter side and the receiver side.
2. Is the Cyclic Prefix Needed in Massive MIMO?
  This work would investigate the possibility of data transmission without a prefix, in order to increase the effective spectral efficiency of the transmission.
3. Evaluating the Energy Efficiency of Wireless Cellular Networks
  In this project, we will study the energy efficiency of future networks using the metric bit/Joule. It is computed as the area data throughput (in bit/s/km^2) divided by the area power consumption (Joule/s/km^2).
4. Simulation of Massive MIMO System Performance
  Evaluation of the system performance advantage of massive MIMO, relative to an LTE-like baseline system.
5. Performance Analysis of MU-MIMO with Very Large Antenna Arrays Over Nakagami-m Fading Channels
  Study the performance of MU-MIMO with very large antenna arrays over Nakagami-m channels.
6. Performance analysis of selection schemes in relay assisted underlay cognitive radio networks
  Investigating selection schemes for relay assisted cognitive radio networks.
7. Performance analysis of UWB-based time-of-arrival estimation techniques in multipath environments
  In this project, the goal is to analyse and compare different TOA estimation techniques using real-data set obtained in the basement tunnel at Linkoping University.

8. Software for density evolution studies of LDPC codes
  Develop simulation tools in C++ and study the density evolution of LDPC codes.
9. Beräkningar i primtalskroppar baserat på eisensteinska heltal
  Jämföra beräkningar i någon eller några primtalskroppar vid olika representation.

10. All-Digital Channelizers and Aggregators for Multi-Standard Video Distribution
  Investigating and developing design methods for new all-digital flexible solutions targeting orders-of-magnitude reductions in the computational complexity.
11. Spectrum sensing based on flexible RF filtering
  The objective is to derive minimum processing-time procedures based on RF filtering where both the filter center frequency and bandwidth can be programmed online.
