Wireless testbed development using the USRP/GNUradio

Description:

The project work consists of helping with the buildup of a software-radio (SDR) based demonstrator/testbed lab for wireless communications, built on the USRP/GNUradio platform. USRP/GNUradio is all open-source (both the hardware and software). The student will implement methods developed in recent research on the testbed and evaluate its peformance, for example protocols for cooperative transmission.

The candidate need good knowledge of fundamentals of communication theory and systems, and good programming skills. Basic understanding for hardware is also desirable.

Suitable for 1-2 students.
