Short Biography

Vladimir Savic received his Dipl. Ing. Degree in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as Digital IC Design Engineer in Elsys Eastern Europe, Belgrade, Serbia. From 2008 to 2012, he worked as research assistant at Signal Processing Applications group, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain. He received his M.Sc. (in 2009) and his Ph.D degree (in 2012) in communications technologies and systems from the same university. During his Ph.D. studies, he spent three months as a visiting researcher at the Stony Brook University, NY, USA, and four months at the Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. In August 2012, he joined Communication Systems (CommSys) Division at Linköping University, Sweden as a postdoctoral researcher. He is currently working on positioning and ranging in tunnel environments, and fingerprinting-based positioning with massive MIMO.
