Hien Ngo

Short Biography

Hien Quoc Ngo received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, in 2007. He then received the M.S. degree in Electronics and Radio Engineering from Kyung Hee University, Korea, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in communication systems from Linköping University (LiU), Sweden, in 2015. From May to December 2014, he visited Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill, New Jersey, USA.

Hien Quoc Ngo is currently a postdoctoral researcher of the Division for Communication Systems in the Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY) at Linkoping University, Sweden. He is also a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Queen's University Belfast, U.K. His current research interests include massive (large-scale) MIMO systems and cooperative communications.

Dr. Hien Quoc Ngo received the Stephen O. Rice Prize in Communications Theory in 2015. He also received the IEEE Sweden VT-COM-IT Joint Chapter Best Student Journal Paper Award in 2015. He was an IEEE COMMUNICATIONS LETTERS exemplary reviewer for 2014, an IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONs exemplary reviewer for 2015. He has been a member of Technical Program Committees for several IEEE conferences such as ICC, Globecom, VTC, WCSP, ISWCS, ATC, ComManTel.
