Abstract: This report presents the construction of a channel simulator for the digital signal processing equipment DSP900. The channel is implemented so that it can simulate different kinds of noise and fading in real time. The noise is created with a 32-bit feedback shift register and the probability table method. The implemented fading models are the Rayleigh fading model and the Gilbert-Elliot model. There is also a 128 bit LP-filter implemented in the simulator.
