Eleftherios Karipidis

Short CV

Eleftherios Karipidis received the Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2001, the M.Sc. degree in Communications Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany, in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Crete, Chania, Greece, in 2008. He was an intern from February 2002 to October 2002 with Siemens ICM, and from December 2002 to November 2003 with the Wireless Solutions Lab of DoCoMo Euro-Labs, both in Munich. Since October 2008, he is a postdoctoral researcher with the Communication Systems Division of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Linköping University, Sweden. His broad research interests are in the area of signal processing for communications, with current emphasis on convex optimization methods and applications in transmit precoding, resource allocation and cross-layer network problems for MIMO wireless and wireline systems. Dr. Karipidis is a member of the IEEE Signal Processing and Communications societies and the Technical Chamber of Greece.
